Loren White, Jr. is a citizen of the Three Affiliated Tribes/Mandan Hidatsa Arikara Nation. He has over 25 years of community development experience working directly with Tribes and Indigenous communities. Loren has worked for Tribally owned businesses and regional and national Native-led non-profit grassroots and community organizations over the years, and he continues to assist and support grassroots groups in achieving their communities’ culturally based visions of sustainability that integrate their traditional values and worldviews. He currently holds multiple advisory and leadership roles with a variety of organizations to help guide, support, and encourage their work in culture and language revitalization and food sovereignty initiatives.
Loren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance and an MBA with a concentration in Finance. He has enhanced his professional expertise by completing the CDFI Fund’s capacity building initiatives, including The Leadership Journey 2 and Building Native CDFIs’ Sustainability and Impact. Additionally, he has received continuing education certificates in New Market Tax Credits, Strategic Business Planning, Trust Accounting, Just Transition and Regenerative Finance, Permaculture Design, and Commercial Solar Lending.
